ORTOV
The program
ORT Israel is Israel’s largest educational network of schools and colleges – and leader in technological education. The network has 100,000 students and 7,500 staff in 205 schools, operating in 55 Jewish, Arab and Bedouin municipalities. The ORTOV program, implemented across ORT’s various schools and educational centres, aims to promote the values of contribution, volunteering and social engagement among students and alumni. The program encompasses more than ten different projects, focusing on leadership, co-existence, internet, technology and more. The projects involve school management, teachers, staff, current students and alumni, and promote collaboration with the communities they are being implemented in. Starting its fourth year with an increased budget and staff, the program will go through an impact evaluation to assess its achievements, successes and lessons-learnt, and determine how to improve its different project components.
