Project TEN
The project
The Jewish Agency’s Project TEN is an international development program that operates volunteer centers in the global South (in Ethiopia, Ghana, Mexico and South Africa) and in Israel. TEN brings together young adults from all over the world, to a program that combines volunteer work tailored to the needs of local communities in the fields of public health, agriculture, education, business development and more, along with service-learning and activism. The ultimate goal of TEN is twofold: On the one hand, the program aims to develop the local people’ leadership skills and empower them to create models for sustainable development. On the other hand, the volunteers themselves are also empowered to return home to their own communities with a greater drive to engage in local activism and become socially responsible global citizens.
